Denk mal das dies ein Sampler für schweidische Nachwuchs
Bands sein soll, denn bis auf Battle Scared ist mir keine der Formationen
bekannt. Das meiste sind Ultima Thule Cover - insgesamt 8 Stück bei
20 Liedren. Wer auf Viking Rock und U.T. steht und wem die Bands wie Chrome,
Futhark, Nidingarna, Playmo und Patron Ur was sagen wird hier bestimmt
keinen Fehlkauf machen.

Wider zurück zum Pure Impact Label, die diesen Sampler rausgebracht
haben ! Er ist wohl schon mal in Schweden inoffiziell als CD-R in anderer
Aufmachung rausgekommen, aber wir Kontinentaleuropäer kriegen ihn
durch das belgische Label erstmalig präsentiert. Und das gute Stück
sollte sich jeder Vikingrock - und Ultima Thule-Fan zulegen ! Insgesamt
wird U.T. auch acht (!) Mal gecovert und das wirklich nicht schlecht.
Aber auch die Eigenkompositionen von Battle Scarred, Chrome, Futhark,
Nidingarna, Playmo und Patron Ur können sich zum grössten Teil
sehen wo sie bei ihre BedütCD aufgehört hatten : guter Skinheadsound
Richtung Midgard Söner und ähnliche. Von den anderen Gruppen
gefallen mir Chrome am besten, die recht flott + melodisch afspielen.
Insgesamt sind es 20 Lieder von jungen (zumindest den Fotos nach) und
guten schwedischen Bands, die auf weitere gute Scheiben hoffen lassen
! Für Schwedenfans ein Pflichtkauf !

6 bands (Battle Scared, Chrome, Futhark, Nidingarna, Playmo, Patron Ur,
20 songs. Only one really exclusive song, all other stuff was released
before on CD, CD-single ou demo-CD. I only knew one band from this compilation
being Battle Scared (4 songs) but beacuse there's no less than 9 covers
featured on this Swedish compilation (8 x Ultima Thule, 1 v Völund
Smed) just 7 songs from the CD are completly new to me. It's not so important,
it's a nice CD and the covers are palyed well. It's nice listening to
other bands playing Ultima Thule songs. Some of the new songs are quite
good. The Ultima Thule song "Balders drömmar" even gets
covered twice I might add, and there's a Norwegian version of "Stolt
och strak" featured.
